I'm walking on sunshine!!

What a beautiful day outside! We have had such a great day today. To start the morning off, Zoey decided to sleep until 11:00 a.m. Yes, 11:00! I was in awe. I woke up and went to the bathroom about 8 and she was still asleep. Nathan got up sometime after that and I thought he had gotten her and I hadn't heard her cry. I was shocked when I woke up at 11:00 and heard fussing. Nathan came down the hallway from the living room and I asked him how long she had been asleep. I assumed that she had taken a nap and was just waking up. When he told me that she hadn't been up, I didn't know how to respond. I was in shock. This has never happened. I think once she slept til 9:30 and I thought I was going to cry from joy! After Zoey and I got up, she had some cereal and a bottle and I picked up some. Nathan and I decided that it was a great day for a walk. Right as we were walking out the door I smelled something and realized Zoey needed a diaper. Little did I know that this was the diaper from you know where. It turned into one of those diapers where I ended up giving her a half bath with wipes because it was EVERYWHERE. Well after getting a clean diaper and clean clothes, we headed out! Here is Zoey ready for her first walk!

It's pretty sad that my child is 4 1/2 months old and is seeing the outside world for maybe the 3rd time! I hope the weather doesn't get nasty again as they are predicting. Oh well, we have loafed for most of the day with the exception of doing a few loads of laundry and cleaning out the refrigerator for me and Nathan did some work outside. Zoey can keep herself entertained for a pretty good amount of time before having a complete meltdown. We had a little photoshoot before the afternoon nap.

Note that this will probably be the only nap for today since she slept so late, so maybe it will be an early night tonight : ) She's been out for over an hour now so I'm sure she'll start wiggling before too long. I'm glad that this morning before the big walk I decided to put a roast in the crock pot so that now I don't have to cook tonight! Oh and by the way, Nathan and I rented Couples Retreat last night and it was pretty funny, watch it if you get a chance. Welp, that's all for now. I will leave you with one of the pictures of Zoey from her very first Valentine's Day. It was a wonderful day because I spent a wonderful day with my two loves. I am so lucky to have them. Nathan and I have been together on and off for 11 years (that makes me feel REALLY old) but I love him as much today as I did when I met him. He is a wonderful father and husband, and I couldn't ask for more (well maybe he could pick up his dirty socks now and then! haha)
