New baby, new house....new lots of things!

Well, I have been totally neglectful of my blog. I haven't posted in nearly 5 months and I appoligize. There have been many changes is the last several months and I haven't had the time to keep the blog up to par, but now I'm back, and hopefully with a vengence. Where to begin....

I guess when I left off I was about 37 weeks pregnant. The week after my last post was a very busy time for us as we purchased our first home. All the stress was no fun, especially being SO pregnant. But there were some good things about the move, i.e., no carrying heavy boxes : ) Here is a picture of our house during one of the MANY snows we have had this winter.



The house is cozy and we love it, hopefully we can make some changes to the outside once it warms up, but we are very happy with our first major purchase! I guess next we move into the most exciting part of our new life, the babe, Zoey K. My due date was October 3, 2009. I went to the hospital on October 1, 2009, a Thursday, and thought I was in labor, boy was I wrong! They sent me home early the next morning and I reported to the OB on Monday morning. At this point I was 2 days past my due date and VERY ready to have this baby! I won't go into all the gory details but I ended up giving birth to the beautiful Zoey Katherine on October 7, 2009 (4 days after my due date) She was born at 8:08 a.m., weighed 7 lbs. and was 20 3/4 inches long. She was delivered via cesarean section after there were some issues with her heartrate. Once she was delivered it was discovered that the umbilical cord was wrapped around her neck...talk about scary. Here is a picture of our new family moments after Zoey enetered the world.



It was a moment I will never forget, the moment I heard her cry, I began to cry. At this point, I can't remember what life was like without her. Ok, enough sappy stuff for now, I won't continue to ramble! Until next time!
